Welcome to our Summer 2026 RV travel journal. Over nearly 2 months, our family of six (plus our dog Ziggy!) is traveling through 8 states, 2 Canadian provinces, and 9 national parks in our 36-foot motorhome. • Campgrounds Stayed At: Oak Lake RV resort, IN (our rating 8/10; downside - bathrooms; upsides - activities) KOA Oakdale, WI (our rating 9/10; downsides - close to a highway (you can clearly hear the traffic); upsides - excellent amenities & activities, very well maintained).

• KOA Jackson, MN (our rating 10/10; downsides - none we found!; upsides - quiet, excellent activities!)

KOA Oakdale in WI is beautifully maintained and offers fun & relaxing family time

We were excited to get to visit a state we've never been to before!

Healthy snacks keep us focused on the road

The modest, yet engaging jumping pillow/obstacle course on the lake made our boys (big and small) tackle one another until they fell in the water (I accidentally stopped recording a second before our oldest fell into the water!)

This was our first stop on our journey and it's a weekend, so we took it slow, and focused on family time and wholesome meals together, knowing we will soon have busier days, juggling work and travel, while making the most of the amazing places we're planning to visit!
